Sanford Illustrations Design Process

Working with Dan Noble CEO and president of HKS, Jeff Saad designer HKS Chicago, and Scott McFadden designer HKS Indianapolis, I produced watercolor vignettes based from group conversation for the 1 million square foot hospital.

From the original intent to create a Gothic collegiate vernacular I focused on architectural elements that invoked a more human solution to the large-scale project. Towers, arcades and cloisters were sketched, invoking the
campus experience.

The final watercolors were kept artistic and ethereal in their style and overall feel. Total time was 1 Day per Image
